Description

St John’s wort is a herbaceous perennial plant endemic to Bulgaria. It reaches a height of up to 70 cm and it blooms between May and September. The flowers are bright yellow and appear at the ends of the upper branches. Best practice is to pick St John’s wort is around June when in full bloom. The flowers and about 20cm of the stems below are harvested.

At Jelev Herbs, we source the top 25cm of St John’s wort during its flowering period, which is then dried under controlled humidity and processed into:

The dried St John’s wort produced at our facility is suitable for culinary consumption, tea making and for use in the healthcare industries.
